Hip Hop music producer Ski Beatz—best known for producing some of the most critically acclaimed records of Jay-Z’s career, as well as for his innovative production with the hip-hop group Camp Lo—is back at work in NYC after spending a few years in his hometown of Greensboro, NC. Ski is ready for an eventful year of ground-breaking sounds and new business ventures. He’ll be focusing on more than just one venue of music this year; not only will his attention be on producing albums, but Ski will also have a hand in television, video games, internet, and creating his own material.

Beatz, Rhymes & Samples: SKI BEATZ is a mixtape dedicated to, and hosted by, one of the most overlooked producers in hiphop history. Since his groundbreaking work with the Bizzie Boyz to his early 90's work as a member of Original Flavor, Ski Beatz has produced some of the greatest hiphop songs ever - but dont take our word for it - just ask Marley Marl who once stated that if he could have produced any single song in hiphop history that it would have been "Streets Is Watching" (Jay-Z, produced by Ski Beatz) ... This free mixtape (mixed by DJ Raize of Bklyn) features many of Ski's classic productions (Jay-Z, Camp Lo, Fat Joe, Pacewon, etc.) mixed in with the original records that he sampled to create the beats. Towards the end you'll get to check out a few new tracks that Ski recently produced for artists such as Cover, Jean Grae, and Camp Lo.
