Rising from the ashes of the bands Shag Carpet and Flinch, SKIF formed in 2001 to create original music for an un-scene of music filled with horrible 80's cover bands and hick rock. While not much has changed, and the Fond du Lac area still reeks of back-stabbing opportunists and stingy business, SKIF has managed to become well known in the area by consistently scheduling shows and putting out one or more original CD releases per year.

Another Great Fuckin' Show Saturday!! I can't tell you guys enough how awesome I think you guys are!! I've been doing this for over 20 years, and I know who's the real deal!! Bill helped us out with setup and sound again! You guys being the eyes and ears for us......and your originals are the shit!! I'm so looking forward to recording at your studio, we desperately need a quality DEMO! I'm am just in awe of your musicianship, the vocals, the shredding guitars and the down to earth non egos of everyone in the band. I'm really glad I got to meet you guys! I know there isn't much of a music scene in Fondy.........just hang in there.......by all rights, you guys should be signed! Loved the Holy Diver cover!! I was really impressed with your band members and tunes...........fuckin' awesome! I lived in Fondy until 2004, and can't believe I never caught you guys live before, but I was pleasantly surprised by the showmanship of your group! You guys were tight, nice to see some originals that made me bang my head! Very down to earth, no egos, and the willingness to help out............we totally appreciated it.
