The Skilless Villains hit the Miami Valley music scene in early 2006, attracting audiences with their unique sound and captivating stage presence. Originally consisting of singer/songwriter Tim “Mathias” Spoores and Recording engineer/Bass player Trent “T-Bass” Spoores, the Skilless Villains have gone through a number of changes before evolving into their current form as a Quartet.
Starting out as a two piece opening act the Skilless Villains were always on the lookout for fresh ideas to incorporate into their musical style. Often drawing upon the talents of the local music scene to help fill out there sound.
Then one night while opening up for the Steven Gregory Band at Peaches Bar and Grill in Yellowsprings, OH. A longtime friend and fan, Doug “Happy Hour” Adams, seeing their need for some percussion accompaniment jumped up on stage an began to play. Much to their surprise and the audience’s enjoyment the Skilless Villains began to bring their sound to a whole new level and it was at that momment it became clear that they were now welcoming a new addition to the band.
After playing for months as a three piece, while still drawing upon local musicians to help fill in when they could, the band decided it was time to expand yet again and this time on a more permanent basis. After numerous phone calls, internet adds, and missed opportunities they began reaching out a few friends they had not heard from in a while.
Enter Brad “the Hammer” Roediger. An accomplished guitar player with a burning desire to rediscover his roots on the Keyboard. Within just a few jam sessions it was obvious that they had found not only a fourth member but also a kindred spirit.
Creating their own style of original Mid-West Freestyle Rock and Roll, their sound combines poignant vocals with well-crafted melodies and beats. During live performances their set lists have often combined their original tracks with covers ranging from artists such as Country's Johnny Cash to R&B's Blackstreet while still sounding fluid and natural.
With standout tracks like "Blasphemy" and "Flesh to Bone", The Skilless Villains are an essential addition to any music lover's library.

"You know when they have a fishing show on TV? They catch the fish and then let it go. They don't want to eat the fish, they just want to make it late for something." -Mitch Hedberg
