Akwa Industries is a Canadian based board sport brand that develops skimboards, apparel and accessories within the international skimboard market.
While we go about our business you will find that Akwa is more than just another board sport brand. We have many passions and while skimboarding remains number one other board sports like surfing, snowboarding, and skateboarding fall right behind. These crossover sports offer us an insight into the skimboard scene and provide us with a fresh look at what’s possible.
Our creative influences range from art & design to sustainability and environmental issues. The most important influence of all are the people involved in this unique community. We strive to help connect and showcase our way of life in a positive and creative way. We are creating more than just products we are building a lifestyle for people to connect and see what’s going on within our unique culture.
All our boards are made right here in Canada! We do not limit ourselves to the micro scenes involved in skimboarding as we produce both wave and flatland style boards for all aspects of riding.
You will find our head office and factory located on the Sunshine Coast of Beautiful British Columbia, Canada. It’s this location that allows us to be at the beach within minutes to test products on a daily basis.
