Our fifth album, Self Harmony, is out on Waterfront on Japan now and also available worldwide on iTunes. The UK version is coming out this month. Full of catchy classics it's an ideal golden wedding present for your gran.
We've been back in the studio in January 2009 finishing off the tracks for our next Japanese release, and also recording the first batch of songs for the as yet untitled sixth CD. Any suggestions as to what we should call it? The rest of the album will be recorded in July, with a scheduled end of year release date. There will be European shows in Autumn, and a return to Japan early 2009, so check back here and we'll put up dates as soon as they are confirmed.
What else has been happening lately? Well, the retrospective double CD 'Smitten', is now also in the shops. It contains all the songs from our out-of-print first 2 albums plus some extra songs, which in effect covers the period from our first demo in 1993 up to the 1999 Tufty Club EP. Along with 'Still', 2007's 'I'll Tell You What!' album and the new one, that's a lot of Skimmer records to go and get. In good shops everywhere, or if you want to buy any of them directly from us through paypal get in touch and we'll sort it.
