Real Oi without the crap Status Quo-ish mainstream Rock influence. And none of that "Street Rock" shit either.
Skin Cancer was started in Stavanger, Norway in early 2008 as a reaction to the current state of Oi. As lifelong Oi/Punk/Mod Revival fans and collectors, the members of Skin Cancer decided today`s rot in the Oi scene had gone too far, and started the band to show the world how real Oi is supposed to be played. Skin Cancer totally rejects the so-called "Street Rock" scene and the Cock Sparrer-ish mainstream Rock sound that has infiltrated Oi, as well as the lyrics that has become such a cliché over the years. No more of that "going down the pub, looking for a fight" nonsense!
Skin Cancer will, if necessary, stand alone in the fight against this watering down of the whole concept of Oi, and will give you a brilliant listening experience with excellent true Oi sounds. We have already made a handful of songs which will be posted on this site as soon as we get our arses into a studio. Record labels and promoters get in touch, we are willing to play anywhere to spread the gospel of the true Oi.
