Skinheads-whenever mentioned, the name brings a shocking image to mind, the shaven head white workin class lads, the thugs, the football hooligan. It has been at least 40 years since the first skinheads emerged in industrial cities of Britain, youth looking for an identity, somthing to belong to. Now the cult has spread across the globe and still isn't understood, but then it will be by the people that carn't or don't want to see the poverty and hardship in their own country. Skinheads know first hand about double standards, media lies and the lack of free speech. "Normal" people hate them, jury's find them guilty no matter what the evidence. Skinheads are more aware of whats going on around them than the population in general and they voice they're opinions, passions, loves, hates through Oi! Oi! the movement was built by the help of middle class music journalists and then knocked down and deserted by them. Mind you, it wasn't the end when the 4 Skins and the Resort threw the towl in, others have stepped forward to carry the banner through even harder times. Now days Oi! is ignored by the music industry (as if it no longer exists) in the hope it will die. They want nothing more than to see youth of our countries stuck in a drug music cult unable to reason for themselves. We are a threat to them, we have pride and a passion that carn't be contained. Oi! is our music and our voice. We will never be silenced. Stay true, keep the faith.
