About me:
I live in a small, magical, central coast town amongst the sea and the redwoods. I've lived here for 10 years now and am completely in love with the area - especially the location (so many amazing places within a 4 hour drive), the redwoods, the weather, the almost overwhelming amount of fascinating places and things to experience, and the fresh organic produce.
I moved here from Austin, Texas where I lived for 4 years. I was there for school, what else?:-) I loved living in Austin - it is such a beautiful and 'alive' town - and I met so many lovely and amazing people there. I majored in biochemistry but then somehow fell in love with Chinese Medicine - it seemed more logical than anything I was learning in school at the time.
So I moved to the Bay Area because the school here - Five Branches University - is one of the best in the country. It is a 4 year master's degree program and I have finished half of it so far. I'm returning this Spring ('09) to finish the program! After taking off a couple of years to grow my business and spend time with friends, I'm excited to get back to it. This time I'll be attending a little less than full time so that I can have a life outside of school and work. I have a successful practice already and have no need to finish the program in a hurry. Besides - there should always be time set aside for fun and relaxation. It's all about the journey after all:-).
