PERCY CIRCUS follows a group of night crawlers, poets, musicians and thrill seekers, spilling out of a back street cabaret into a foggy night in London town, and ending in a duel of honour on a rooftop at dawn.
LADY JANE is a contemporary film based on the painting THE EXECUTION OF LADY JANE GREY by Paul Delaroche, updating the final moments of the life of the 17 year old by reconstructing this event on a contemporary context.
THE PRINCESS & THE PEA, was commissioned by the Jewellelry company Sweet Pea and is a contemporary retelling of the fairy tale by Hans Christian Anderson. Reimagined in an Urban castle fitted out with CCTV cameras watching the endless parade of bizarre princesses dripping with jewels and trying to catch the lonely rock a billy prince's eye. Shot on 16mm and black and white CCTV cameras.

In 2003 Skint & Minted produced its first short film DENTINE, directed by Camilla, featuring Carole Desbois and a soundtrack by The Libertines sung by Steve the Saxon. This was followed by short film I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVES by Carole Desbois, featuring performances by Alex Clarke, Pete Doherty and Camilla Robinson (screened once, before mysteriously disappearing from the Bedlam flat never to be seen again). Carole continues to make films from her base in Biarritz, France (see her website link). Camilla is London based and her films are scerening internationally at Film Festivals and Art Exhibitions. She is currently working on new commissions and collaborations with Shanghai born Cinematgographer Rain Li, and curating the Short Film Programme at Chelsea Arts Club. Alex Strickland has gone AWOL in the borders but hopefully working on something genius.
