Skip-Dawg Bio:
An emcee from the Philly suburb of Haverford, SKIP-DAWG embarked upon an improbable and at times dangerous journey to hip-hop brilliance. There were no rappers battling on the corners of Haverford, PA, only a kid with a dream of growing up to be a professional stuntman, and a rapper. A top notch college athlete who graduated from Princeton University at age 20, Skip-Dawg continues to mentor and tutor middle school and high school students throughout the Philadelphia area.
The past two years have marked a striking comeback by Skip-Dawg, who in 2005 underwent intensive surgeries on both lungs at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. While the first of his lung surgeries caused numerous complications including massive blood loss requiring four blood transfusions, Skip-Dawg’s second lung surgery later the same year caused extensive nerve damage requiring 18 months of physical therapy.
But in 2007 East Coast hip hop witnessed an improbable and inspirational comeback as Skip-Dawg, undaunted by his painful past, majestically carved a path back to the forefront of hip-hop preeminence. With passionate and earnest lyrics, captivating story-telling ability, and well-crafted song-writing talent, Skip-Dawg quickly re-engaged his loyal fan base while capturing attention from industry giants. Shortly after the release of “The Illest Emcee”, hip-hop mega-producer Beatgods teamed up with Skip-Dawg to produce the heart-wrenching smash hit “Make a Miracle Happen” Not one to shy away from his former problems, Skip-Dawg instead draws inspiration from his adversity and depicts a vivid and painfully honest picture of his life: “My fifth lung surgery gave me a real thrashing, 6 vertebrete and my chest nerve-damaged, spent a year in bed my whole world crashing, who knew that this could happen, they told me no more rapping…”
The triumphant journey continues in 2008, already a banner year for Skip-Dawg. Lol...Ice-T is a whack INDIVIDUAL...not as an artist...and Soulja Boi IS wack! I just don't understand why such an attack on somebody because he's doing what his doing...he doesn't diss anyone...Soulja Boi is not good. I don't even consider him a rapper lol...I just think it's a waste of somebody of Ice-T's caliber's time to tell a 17-year old to "eat a dick". It's just stupid...I think hip-hop is plagued by wack artist...but anybody who attacks somebody because of what THEY'RE doing instead of doing what they do....is wack....that's why ppl like you and I need to get on...but in the mean time...I'm not gonna make my protege diss Soulja Boi because he's wack like Ice-T did....what does that have to do with me?
But nonetheless, Ice-T is a legend...but he's not acting like one by dissing Soulja Boi.
