About The Standstill

The Standstill is the solo project of Jeff Maynard. Now that Next to Never is no longer a band, The Standstill has become his main focus. In 2005, "What Happened to Turn Signals?" was released on El Deth records under the name Skippy and the Bellbottoms. Though reviews of the CD were very good, many doors were closed for the album due to the silly name of the band. The album also marked the first full-length, internationally available record to be released by El Deth. Now, with a new name, a slew of new songs, and a new line-up of musicians for live shows, The Standstill is working on a new album and playing shows again. Keep a look out for new songs on this page.
