I am honored to play music around the southeast with "The Southern Pointe Band". I am blessed to have true friends and that share my interest in music. It all started when I began playing drums & percussion in school, only later to find a my natural placement, in the rhythm section - playing bass guitar, beginning at the age of 12. I played with many groups & traveled in high school and though out college. After college, I continued to play "on the road", but settled into a house gig at a local night club for two and a half years. At the age of 24, I was offered a non-musical, opportunity in the corporate world. At that time, I quit playing, only to start back at the age of 42, for a local relief benefit. Now @ 48, I have returned on the upstate music scene, and found many more new friends and lots of opportunities to play. These other opportunities include songwriting and composition, tracking / recording, bass session work, Front of House (Live) mixing and sound engineering, digital recording / remixing / mastering, music production. First and foremost, I am a Christian. I serve on the A/V committee, among other duties with my church family. I am a sinner, saved by God's grace. I am truly blessed!!!!!
I am surrounded by a beautiful wife, a talented son, a group of first-class Christian friends and musicians like no other in the world. It was all worth the wait! If all I do, is for God's glory, how much better can it get?
My Favorite Basses that I play are a modified G&L L2000, an Ibanez SD1500, and a modified 1979 Fender Jazz Bass. A David Eden WT-800B powers my bi-amped low-end vibe through an Eden 410dlx and a 115DLX enclosure. I presently use DR Lo Riders, High Beam, and Sunbeam Strings on stage & in the studio. I rely on a Peterson Strobo-Stomp tuner to be in tune every single time.
