- Svartby is a band of 4 merry fellows that come from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. What we play is a wild music combining powerful death-black metal part and strong keyboard scent of witchery and beer party. So we like to call the result "svartcore".
- "Svartby" is an imaginary place, an imaginary "black village" where wild magic creatures live. Witches, dwarfs, goblins, spirits - all of the Svartby creatures are definitely unkind to human folk, but at the same time merry, nature-loving and nice living beings with a good sense of humor.
- Important note: trolls don't live in Svartby. There are enough bands who devote their songs to these creatures, their vision of trolls is quite similar to ours, so we decided not to sing of them. We never had any troll for a song hero ;) it doesn't mean we hate trolls - no, they're great and could be great friends with our creatures :)
- The Black Village creatures are enemies for humans, especially hunters and woodmen - a sort of some magical GreenPeace :) At the same time, it's much more interesting to have such perfect objects for tricks by their side than to destroy them completely!
Religion? What's that? We believe in tits, beer and rock'n'roll :)
