Learning as much as I possibly can about whatever is interesting to me at any given moment, listening to music that moves me, evolving, photography, Burning Man, fine ale/beer, creating music in many forms, spreading concious thought and energy, existing in the present as much as I can...
Music
TOOL, Aphex Twin, Radiohead, Meshuggah, Squarepusher, King Crimson, drum&bass, Richie Hawtin/Plastikman, Buck-O-Nine, Dead Kennedys, Orbital, Calyx, Green Milk From Planet Orange, Mr. Projectile, Proem, Adam Freeland, Calibre, D. Kay, many Les Claypool projects, Tipper, Tupac Sukar, experimental/IDM, Starcastle, Godspeed You Black Emporer, Boards of Canada, 311, The Skoidats, Five Iron Frenzy, Jimmy Buffett, Pink Floyd, The Mars Volta, Led Zepplin, Frank Sinatra, Dave Matthews Band, The Beatles, psytrance/goa, Sigur Ros; basically - anything that moves me...I like quite a variety of GRAND, WELL MADE music that cannot all be listed here...(and every once in a while, a cheesy country pop song just for kicks!).
Movies
Anything Kubrick, PT Anderson, Adam Jones, Charlie Kaufman, some Speilberg films, David Fincher, David O'Russell......many, many, many well made films......but it's impossible to list them all in this frame.
Television
Simpsons, South Park, Lost, and The X-Files! And that's about it...I don't watch much television...
Books
Transfigurations and The Sacred Mirrors by Alex Grey, Dan Millman's work, Many Lives Many Masters, Beezulbub's Tales To His Grandson, The Forge of God, anything to do with Ender, or little hobbits......but it's impossible to list all the amazing books my eyes have seen here in this space.
Heroes
My Mother and Father (Mickey and Diane), Carl Sagan, Rob Booth and Sean Brown, Richard D. James, Leonardo da Vinci, myself (we are all our own heroes!), anyone who sticks true to themselves and uses it, and of course
DANNY CAREY - Watch this video:
Skoi Sirius hails from the electronic underground with beats for the body, soul, and mind; his passion injects a cerebral element into his music that lifts his sets to a higher spiritual domain. Self-converted to the electronic side after a thick dose of jungle and drum and bass at the Ice House, an abandoned warehouse in Arizona in the early 00’s, he now walks the path of the underground, pushing boundaries with vinyl-only sets as often as possible. Representing his home of Seattle through the music collectives of audiblebicycleday and The Oracle Gatherings, Skoi spins spiritually-infused IDM lathered breaks and downtempoish beats that take you on an aural voyage through several musical realms of being before bringing you back again with a smile on your face and a groove in your brain.
Recently, I've just teamed up with Ari Zucker (of arisawkadoria) and Richard La Chapelle (audiblebicycleday) called:
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who realizes truth: conscious human beings that can help improve themselves, me, others, life around them, and throughout the world...
Beings with information to learn from and spread vibrantly. Beings that know how to GET DOWN and have a kick ass time with one another. Beings that enjoy the pleasures of life and more...
"Firefly" hallmarks the cornerstone and encapsulates a decade's worth of musical ingenuity, talent, and experience. An accomplished colorful music mixing traditional instruments (flute, didgeridoo, jewharp, etc...), sensible, powerful voices, world and ethnic music touches (tribal, celtic, oriental, latino) with a typical electronic touch.
