Born in Surrey, British Columbia on January 3rd, I spent the better part of my childhood reading comic books and listening to music. I took up the guitar in the teen years, and went on to study Fine Arts at Kwantlen University College. Having found my true calling, I continued an education in art, and in the year 2000, graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While both passion and talent cover a broad range of artistic disciplines ranging from painting, printmaking and drawing in a variety of mediums, to comics, cartoons, animation, and web graphics, my artistic groove comes shinin' through in caricatures and comic strips.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since leaving Emily Carr, I have become an accomplished caricaturist and cartoonist, with a unique ability of catching one's personality as evidenced by the many conventions, weddings, parties and other events I've been asked to attend, much to the pleasure of the guests.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Currently, you can see my cartoon art at the site for Big Kahuna Sports! This web-based series follows the ongoing saga of Mel Schlick and the mystical Hawaiian mask he discovers, which transforms him into the Big Kahuna!! See it here: Big Kahuna

Hey there,
Here's one from left field...
Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here:

Help to raise awareness.
Say have you checked out my web site recently?
Take care and keep in touch.
Best,
Faber.
