I like good music and good people. I play Piano and Guitar. I read and play by ear.. I love to collaborate with other writers/musicians/poets/... My music has been called "Movie music". I say, it is what it is..

Influences:

I love Acoustic, meaninful, soulful music.. unrehearsed and under-produced.. with the mistakes left in them.. Whatever the Genre. I like Honest, un-contrived Voices.. Especially Quiet voices like Randy Crawford and voices that have that "Cry" in them.. like Roberta Flack, Billie Holiday, Diana Ross and Erykah Badu--to name a few... now.. What was the question again..? Three of my biggest influences were 1. my Mother--for constantly having different kinds of music playing in the house 2. My Uncle, Joseph Cotton--would let me hang around the studio when I was a kid and taught me how to play the keyboard and encouraged me to keep at it.. And 3. my older cousin Lamont Payton, who let me hang around him and mess with his DJ equipment.. and introduced me to quite a bit of the music listen to today..
