Skull Hammer was formed Kelowna, B.C. in 2003 as a thrash metal Act. Originally consisting of 5 members it featured, Chase Thibodeau on bass, Rene Wilkinson on guitar, Jerome Brewer on drums, Sean Smith on guitar and Richard Mackenzie on vocals.
After gaining a reputable fan base from their electrifying and high energy live performances, Skull Hammer was forced to undergo a line-up change. In 2005 Richard and Sean parted ways with the rest of the band. Shortly thereafter, Chase Thibodeau stepped up to vocal duties and the band recruited guitarist Brent Gallant (former Metal Storm lead guitarist) to solidify the line-up of Skull Hammer.
With a die hard line-up and an endless driven need to thrash, Skull Hammer has been a force to be reckoned with ever since in the B.C. metal community. Supporting legendary bands such as Dismember, Augury, Divinty, Bison andThor at the Northwest Metal Festival in Vancouver, Along with playing at several venues in Kelowna, Skull Hammer has also gained much respect and legions of new fans from live shows in Kamloops, Victoria, Nanaimo Vancouver and Nelson.
With a new demo featuring the completed line-up, and a strengthened resolve after a recent successful west coast tour, Skull Hammer plans to continue bringing their assualt of technical thrash metal to the masses. They are determined to leave a wake of destruction everywhere they play, leaving their audiences thrashed to the bone exhausted chanting two words...Skull Hammer.
