One of the largest, single day Rock n' Roll parties in the valley's history is going to take place on June 7th at The Crossroads Music Hall, 115 Clinton Ave. E., in downtown Huntsville. "MUSIC 4 MEDS" is the "Concert to Benefit The Community Free Clinic". Doors open at 1:30PM, and music begins at 2:00PM, and will continue nonstop until the wee hours.
A minimum donation of $10.00 is requested.
I imagine we all wish we were wealthy enough to write a huge check to solve the problems that arise, but for most of us, the best we can do is pitch in a little, and try to get the job done. If you can afford to show up on June 7th and donate a few bucks, we promise to play our hearts out for you and make it worth your while.
Plan on coming out and being a part of this celebration. Together we can do a lot to help our community, and have a great time doing it! Hope to see you there!
Thanks so much for your help and support. - Sonny Edwards
Hey Skurvy - Thanks for being a friend and supporting our benefit concert for the Community Free Clinic. Looking forward to seeing you at Crossroads on June 7th with all your friends. Were gonna rock all night!! - Sonny Edwards

Greetings and salutations,
My best friend Mark Williams (a.k.a.) Admiral Kirk needs your vote to win a Star Trek: TOS Captain's Chair in the final round of the Roddenberry. com's 2008 Member of the Year contest. Mark and I "Gary (a.k.a.) Mr. Spock" are best known for our "Kirk And Spock" shows that we put on at conventions. The 2008 STARBASE INDY convention on Thanksgiving weekend featured us as part of their main entertainment. We had performed "Spock's Brain". I hope that we can get the video of our performance on YouTube in the near future. Another great reason to vote for Mark is that I only live a few miles from his house! After all, I have been and always shall be his friend.
I have it on TiVo, and plan on watching it tomorrow morning after taking the girls to school! I'll let you know what I think. I'm just glad I outgrew my Jason Priestley haircut phase. :)
Today we wrap up Lancelot by Walker Percy and look forward to reading Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret by Judy Blume, beginning July 20th.
We hope that everyone will read along with us; obviously the writers of LOST felt that it was important enough to showcase in season 2, episode 16.
We realize, however, that being a young adult book it will likely take many of you a very short time to read. We'd like to suggest a second book to read simultaneously, if you choose: The Turn of the Screw by Henry James.
As you might remember, this is the book that the Dharma training video was hidden behind in the hatch. If you finish Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret and would like the additional challenge of Turn of the Screw we invite you to read along with us!
We will host blog discussions for both books. We look forward to reading with you!
Thank you so much for accommodating my meager request. :)
I plan on going to see it tonight at the Drive-In with Randy Guidry and his kids. It's not normally my type of movie, but I'm willing to give it a shot.
