Son of Ran (born in the year of the Gorilla) is a world renowned emcee and one of the brightest stars on the horizon. He has developed a fine-tuned balance of street science, intelligent soul, and social progression in his approach to hip hop. While the mass of emcees concede to the more popular genres of radio rap, gangster, or swagger music, Son of Ran exhibits discipline in its highest form and has always remained true to his self - never persuaded to adapt to current trends.
2006 paid witness to one of the freshest and most talked-about street albums to date - SKY CITY CLASSIC, when Ran formed with a team of producers and created an unimaginable world that sparked movements of truth, love, and humility.
2008 was a strong year for the Son. In December, he married the love of his life Khristine Anne. He also found time to co-release a timeless classic with the highly skilled production duo, The Messangers, entitled Incoming Message. Yet, still feeling his music-mission in was incomplete, he would scour the landscape to pursue a more philosophical challenge - to become the illest on the bricks.
With the support of sponsorships from the worlds freshest clothing companies (Bloodbath Project, PnoyApparel, 9Five, PCKPR, Acrylick, OrangeKlass6, Artillery LA, and Forecast) he would form alliance with the most unique / stylistic fabrics that the culture had to offer.
Aiming to expand towards the global international hip hop scene, Ran began working with producers from all parts of the world. Teamed with the fresh talents of DJ Virus (Battlestar), Mark the Martian (Martian Music), Pcasso (San Diego), MNAUT (Planet MNaut), Ronnie Creed (Finland) and Stellar Edwards (UK) - there's no set path to predict where Ran will take his music...
"Son of Ran purely represents the promise of the youth"

Over the next few hours of just searchin your stuff i'd become a fan.
I get lyrics of yours stuck in my head all the time, and i just wanted to stop by and say that you are an inspiration--in delivery, writing, style, and message.
I hope you get the recognition you deserve someday, but for now maybe it'll help to know that at least one more person considers you among the legendary greats.

3 years ago tonight, you and I met ... and ever since that magical night, when we were first introduced in that kitchen, we haven't separated, and we've been together ever since. Coincidentally, 1 year ago today, I became your wife. Randy, you are the man of my dreams, and I'm the happiest and luckiest (and smartest) woman for marrying you. It's been a blissful one year - we've accomplished so much together... and despite our share of setbacks, I know we are destined for GREAT things baby. Thank you for being such a STRONG husband and of course, thank you for giving me your last name. See, I changed my beautiful last name for my husband after all ; ) "whoever he be..."
I remember first hearing one of your songs. Thanks to some of your songs, you hella got me to understand the true lyrics to music. You will always be one of my favorite underground artist haha. I listen to your albums everyday and somehow it always inspires me to do what I always do, Tag and Draw. not illegally, but on notebooks and shit haha. well Even if I'm just another fan. I always will be one bro haha. Laaaate
I hope Dear Music joint doesn't hold the full truth... You've got too much skills to "unplug" like that... This music shit is sooo fickle you have no idea where your gonna land ten years from now. There's too much crap rap out there for anyone to realize what the hell is going on right now. But the iron in the diet, the light in the sky, the moment of truth is... your legacy.. You have put down soo many dope tracks and your just starting... look at people under the stairs. Over ten years of doing it and not one of their tracks is on the radio. Not one. But the discography is incredible... and no one can take that away from them. So if you do, which i hope not... you've still left some heat for the kids.. but I'd be sad to see you go... and that's word!
