Skyconqueror is a Heavy Metal Band from Münster ( North West of Germany ) , founded in 1997 .
The first rehearsals were done by Messiah of Evil on drums and Hellduke on guitar and in
March 1997 the first song "Grim Reaper" saw the light of day. Shortly after Mayhem
joined the band as the bassist and after a few weeks Niko became the lead singer.
On January 24 / 25th 1998 the demo CD "Streak of Lightning" was recorded by Carlos
Silva at the Subsonic Studio in Rheine . Musically the CD can be described as traditional
Metal . Containing songs like „Storm Warning“ or „Skyconqueror“ , the demo showed the
early band. Although coming from Europe the recordings are more in the vein of US Metal .
On February the 27th 1998 the first gig was played at the Silmarillion in Werne
and a couple of gigs followed until in July 2000 the first show was done with the current
line up , Demondawn (Vocals), Hellduke (Guitar), Chris Carnage (Guitar), Mayhem (Bass) and Messiah of Evil (Drums) at
the "Summer Metal Meeting" in Nordkirchen.
In September the same year the second demo-CD "Silver Haze Rising" was recorded ( 6 new
songs ), again by Carlos Silva, and in October a gig was played in LH as kind of
release party.
Until summer 2003 about 30 shows were done on several stages and open airs all around the
home area of Skyconqueror. Also the band went to Rostock to play at the Bands Battle
Festival 2002 .
The third demo CD „Forged In Hell“ was containing 6 songs in the
vein of old Iron Maiden and Motörhead with melodic but non high vocals.
Since the end of 2004 Chris Carnage is no longer a member of the band,
so SKYCONQUEROR continued as an unholy four piece.
At the end of 2006 two new songs were recorded for a regional sampler.
"Curse Of The Stormghost" and "Raise The Pentagram".
From March 2007 until March 2008 the band entered the same studio
for a couple of times to record the "Hellstory" CD, containing songs
from the last ten years. This lethal dose of metal emerged
from the pits of hell in june of 2008. To be comtinued...

Bei gutem Wetter wird vllt. auch gegrillt. Da nun 4 Bands spielen, wird es schon gegen 20 Uhr beginnen!!
PS: Am 18.09. schmeißen wir eine Soli-Party um unsere neue Anlage zu finanzieren (erstmals zu sehen und hören am 28.08.)! Es werden 3 Bands spielen, darunter z.B. Export Schläger. Vorher wirds noch ein Fußballtunier geben mit Mannschaften a 3 Spieler mit kleinem Gewinn für die Sieger!
