SKYE COLLYER - BIO

Skye Collyer's vibrant on-the-spot coverage delivers insight, excitement and fun. As a classically trained actor, the range of her experience to date includes film acting to hosting fashion fundraisers and film jams, entertainment, sports and business news.

As current host of Sportszone Live and reporter for TDot TV, Skye began her TV career as co-host of TSN's Scooter Girls while still at theatre school and, since 2007, has been national host of GTV's Watch and Win movie night every weekend across Canada. This summer, she headlined game-day segments with Rogers TV for the highly anticipated Buffalo Bills match in Toronto. She has also worked as anchor for the Daily Ticker investors news show, on-air Shopping Channel spokesperson for sports-related products, and guest co-host for programs on W and HGTV.

Skye is also an accomplished film actor who just completed a supporting role as Mindy in Stardust Pictures' SHARK CITY with Vivica A. Fox, Corey Haim, and Carlo Rota, now in post-production. She had a leading role in CBC's X-Pod, created by 2-time Emmy winner Xenophile Media, in indie hit AVERSION THERAPY, an award-winner at the 2003 New York 48-Hour Film Festival, and in many high-rotation MuchMusic and CMT music videos.

Away from the entertainment world, Skye currently works as an assistant for a leading independent full service investment dealer, Canaccord Capital.

In addition to her career in the financial services industry, Skye freelances with several agencies to deliver premier in-field marketing, guest and sponsor relations, and onsite promotional support to such clients as Kindred Spirits, Quadrasonic and Molson. Skye is currently pursuing the Canadian Securities Course certificate. She continues to remain very active in the community, volunteering her time with Literature for Life and Landed Entertainments Film Jam's Serving Charity.
