About me:
Myspace Layouts at Pimp-My-Profile.com / Marmelade o. Skye Dent, a 2007 Tisch School Of The Arts MFA grad, is a producer-writer of film and television.
Although Skye had not attended any film school prior to breaking into TV/Film writing in the late 90s, she recently obtained the prestigious NYU-MFA degree to hone her writing skills while develop new producing chops.
Currently developing screenplays on the Paramount Studios lot in Hollywood and teaching a TV Development class on the CBS Radford Lot, Skye also has created two series, a hip, sassy, dramatic comedy called Oyster Times and a police drama called Back Bay.
She recently finished a romantic comedy screenplay and a sci-fi film noir screenplay. In 2009, she wrote a video game for the National Institutes of Health.
Of particular note, she is producing-writing a romantic war epic called December that stars Dennis Haysbert and takes place during the Kenya post election violence in December of 2007.
Skye, a former ABC/Disney Screenwriting Fellow, obtained her first credited writing job when she wrote the fourth episode of the first season of the UPN hit, "Star Trek: Voyager" (1995) and created the alien race, the Vidiens. During the 1997-98 season, Skye was a staff writer for "The Burning Zone" (1996), an hour-long dramatic series produced by Universal Television and sold the firefighting suspense film Searing Notes to Touchstone.
In 1999, she wrote the movie Maestro for Showtime. Hearst Entertainment has optioned an original television movie of the week. Her screenplays include a supernatural suspense called Aftermath (based on her novel of the same title) and a father-son, auto-racing action drama called The Brickyard.
