From the exerpts of UBX Unbroken Expanse Recording Sessions Blog Day 1: We come into this record as a collective blank canvas. We, Unbroken Expanse, have been preparing and anticipating the recording of our first release for some time now and are more ready than ever to create our own musical experience and heart-in-a-case. The studio environment opens your eyes and keeps them open. And the excitement is thick, the air is thick, it’s all about the thickness at the UBX/Fluoride camp. As Parko gingerly strums the acoustic love-canon and croons “I want to stick it in your (expletive)”, Jeff arranges assorted microphones and other studio goodness around Jason’s freshly skinned-and-tuned drum kit. Themes of space, art, musical history and an exciting controlled chaos circle the recording studio, none other than the Mystical lounge room and home to the McLaughlin Gentleman’s Club. I have faith and trust and keen-as-mustard-ness about this day and the days to come. Begin explosions, experimentation and exactly 12.8 litres of dancing!!!!
