NEW ALBUM
Over a handful of shiraz-soaked midnight sessions, GBGV have sculpted their debut album with up and coming Brisbane producer Darek Mudge. From the convict court drama of ‘Crimes’ to the caressingly delicate ‘Woman Who Is All Heart’, the songs on ENTER are a heady mix of romantic narrative and erotic duende. Reworkings of Serge Gainsbourg’s ‘Je Taime (Moi Non Plus)’ and Iggy Pop’s ‘Sister Midnight’ rest alongside original drop-d pleas for tenderness, late night tales of skillful love and the filmclip for their first single ‘Wolfish’.

“You are a father! Shame on you!” – Fan
“…a joyous rendition of Serge Gainsborough‟s “Je Taime (Moi Non Plus)‟ saw Ghostboy pulling punters onto the stage to participate… the bed broke under the weight of twenty aroused festival goers” - Tsunami Music Magazine
“I sat down and strapped myself in for the ride as Ghostboy with Golden Virtues took the spoken word, twisted it, whispered it.… teased and caressed it in a wonderful performance of a fearless love for language” - The Sunday Mail

"The flute, perhaps the most under utilised instrument in modern music, is at the forefront of the band's righteous sound. Sweet, subtle, quiet noises emanating from its slender stem informed the entire performance: almost a murmur at times, but building, building, always building to something clever and interesting and infectious" - Inpress Magazine (Golden Virtues live review)
"The flute riffs of Carburetor recall Ron Burgundy in a jazz club" - Tsunami Music Magazine (Golden Virtues album review)
ME = "I like the blues, but I like aqua marine just as much" - Don Van Vliet

"...An effortlessly great set of indie rock" - Time Off
"...A characteristic display of masterful pop-rock exuberance" Rave
"...this isn’t just 'Tim Steward (Screamfeeder)', but a whole other band that deserves a place in the collective psyche as a force of its own". Faster Louder
2008 was a year of touring & recording for We All Want To (aka: Tim Steward's solo material going large). 2009 is a year of recording and release! Our debut album (to be released on Low Transit Industries a little later in the year) has been recorded by Darek Mudge, Wayne Connolly, Magoo and Jamie Trevaskis. What a team!
Our first EP is out NOW on Low Transit Industries.
Check out the filmclip for our first single, 'Back to the Car', created by Canuk wizards Pkam and Adam. The clip sees footage of the band projected across Brisbane scenery from the window of a moving vehicle - see if you can recognise the sights and watch for the tricky ending...

Dearest Dick Lover, My dear son and his naughty band have released a fitting tribute to the end of George Bush's reign of terror with their animated filmclip George Bush's Chicken. Starring George W at home on the ranch with his muslem chicken Ned as well as guest appearances from some of his closest circle including Osama Bin Laden, Paris Hilton, Saddam Hussein, Barack Obama and Mr Ed, this is the behind the scenes insight the world has long waited for. Yeah, totally blows... My old war wounds will be flaring up every Thursday night. It's still all pretty surreal at the mo, hasn't really sunk in yet. I'm too busy enjoying the fact that I'm not cleaning or packing.
May baby jebus give you an Xmas wedgie.
