    Aw hell. This is the place you look because you wanna find out who I am.
    Do you realize it's taken me nearly 50 years to find out what I know about me,
    and I still don't know everything about me!

    I call myself a work of art in progress.
    Every aspect of my life has been another stroke of the brush.
    I hope you can appreciate unfinished art!

    I like to create. But I can't sculpt, or paint or draw! Even my penmanship sucks!
    So, I have become a hobby photographer!
    Been snaping pictures since I was 16.
    At one time I was into dark room work, but never did get used to the lost time in there. Still have darkroom equipment, but with the new digital stuff, I just don't need it! So, instead of creating more shoe boxes filled with photographs, (I currently have 9 shoe boxes full of images.) now instead I fill computer folders, and then CD's. Only with digital, since there is no developing that is limited by my income, I am not at all limited in how much I can shoot.

    One of the things I enjoy the very most in life, is to pack up my camera stuff into the truck and pick a photographic destination. Then spend the day with the specific intention of filling the flash cards! Now that I have a lap top! Even more can be done! I have created my own monster!

    I also enjoy exploring. Either on foot or in the truck. Gimme a sunny day and a gravel road I've never seen before, or a creek that dissapears up into the trees, these things fill my center with peace. I've also acquired a pair of older, though very functional kayaks, and have discovered a whole new way to explore paths, or rivers less traveled. My newest acquisition, the Honda Goldwing. Yet another way to see things a different way. Besides, it's a kick in the pants to ride.

    I'm an ecclectic sort of person.
    I'm always looking to add a new wheel to the cart.

    As of late, even though I have always been a liberal, ever since 9/11 and the War of Lies, (Iraq War) I have become highly political.

    And this is the forum I usually hang out at,
    As of this moment I have nearly 15,000 post entries there.
    Why?
    Because being politically aware and active is at least as important as getting laid.

    Also, I'm a fairly unwealthy man. I get by just fine, though my wallet is thin. This then means that I must rely more on personality, because I can't afford to buy my way through life. The house is small, though there are no actual wheels under it. I don't have many toys, but those I do have are important and have value to me. I have learned to value the small things, and realize that this is where the real power of life exists.

  • Music

    I dig nearly all music, except Rap and Opera.
    All though with Opera I can see the musical talent!

    Though I like them all and actively seek variety,
    my strongest interests are soft/pop jazz and Country Western.
    I also absolutely love a good hard driving rock-n-roll blues guitar!

    By the way, rap really is crap,
    and hip hop, or Rap with a melody, is for kids!

    Too many fav movies to list, but most reciently,
    "Smartest guys in the room", "Rent" and the Al Gore movie on Global Warming, "An Inconvenient Truth"

    I don't watch much network TV anymore.
    It's pretty much all the same crap.

    Oregon Public, History, Discovery, Learning, Sci-fi and Comedy channels.

    Hi Leslie! I do too, but then I stumbled upon this new song by and odd named group. It sounds like Talking Heads music. I get tired of a song then change it pretty often. I think I might change it back to the John Mayer one though, a little more mellow!

    Hi Leslie. I guess I kinda got derailed in my life. Since last Mother's Day (2008) I was spending a lot of time taking care of my mother. She passed away this past February taking all the wind out of my sails. Then, one month later, a long term relationship was unexpectedly ended. I've been working through the loss and grief ever since. I've been on the verge of publishing my book for some time; but with everything going on, I just haven't been able to finish. I'm hoping to be back on track here very soon. But I'm learning to go easy on myself and allow myself the time to heal.

    How about you? How have you been and what have you been up to?

    I can't get in the forum Sky!! the caspacha(??) thing doesn't work (it keeps saying the code doesn't match, even though it does!), so I can't get the board to send me a new password and I can't register as a new member!! I wrote to Teej about it a few weeks ago, but heard nothing back. Any suggestions?
