We are six regular guys who just happen to love Lynyrd Skynyrd's music. With Al on vocals singing in that gritty, soulful and sometimes sweet voice of Ronnie Van Zant. Brothers Tom and Timmy shredding the Guitars in the stylings of Rossington, Collins and Gaines. Jimmy playing the honky tonk Piano stylings of Billy Powell. Jim walking all over his Bass like the late great Leon Wilkeson. And Frank banging away on the Drums in the stylings of Atrimus Pyle. We all love to perform Skynyrd's music the way it was meant to be played, note for note. Skynyrd had a great sound when performing live as evidenced on the, "One More From The Road" album. We try our best to recapture that sound and bring it to all of the Skynyrd fans that come to see us play. We hope to see you at one of our shows and let you decide for yourself. Peace! "FREEBIRD" is a group of musicians who are crazy about Skynyrd, love playing their music, and want the crowd to get up, dance, jump around, yell, hoot and have a great time listening to Skynyrd the way it's supposed to be played. Most of the members have been playing in"FREEBIRD" since September 2002, though they’ve been playing and singing Skynyrd in other groups for many years. Three of the band members are brothers—guitarists Tom and Timmy, who founded "FREEBIRD", along with George, who handles equipment, sound and lighting. The band really operates as a family, which is appropriate since the original Skynyrd was always like a family.......................................................................................................................................
