Slackers is now into its 5th year. From early days of packing out the Pressure Pont on a Thuresday night with the finest party heads in town. Events have become known for their up for it crowd, diversity of music, and for introducing new bands and DJs to the swelling ranks of friendly regulars while opening its arms to all newcomers – something that fits in just right with the Brighton most of our band of miscrients call home.

The Slackers ethos is one of constant development improving month on month on all fronts. We keep the focus on the enjoyment of all those that come to the event rather than purely the lineup alone. Our legendary parties have been to Edinburgh and Austria, in Clubs and on Boats and this as just the beginning.
< . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . >
We combine excellent music spanning a mix of electro, breakbeat, house, drum n bass, hip-hop and anything that sounds really good on very large soundsystems. Not sure? Then just come to the next one and you won’t be disappointed. If you think you have something to contribute then come say hello it’s a convention after all . . . over to you

IT CAME FROM THE SEA is more than a little bewildered to be celebrating its fifth birthday in February, and would like to extend a polite invitation to Father Time to take a fucking break once in a while (before he KILLS US ALL).
IT CAME FROM THE SEA KOMEDIA * £6/5 * 11-3 FRIDAY 08 FEBRUARY 5TH BIRTHDAY / EVIL RITUAL OUR LITTLE MONSTER IS ALL GROWN UP
Resisting the urge to commission statues/have blue plaques affixed to legs or torsos (as yet) we plan on using this momentous anniversary as a chance to reaffirm our commitment to compassionate futurism, with another dose of next wave indie, neurotic electro and hip-hop futurism.
As for yr other senses, they’ll be ambushed and perhaps permanently damaged too, as we present the ultranostalgic return of our original art sideshow (expanding again from this month, so expect more soon). Likewise, we will wade together through all the infantile party gimmicks we can unearth in bad shops around Brighton. Add disorientating smoke and lights to make an edifying cultural event you can go and get wholly blitzed at.
