About me:
I'll go... yeah... I don't know anything.
I think the key to everything is relaxation. To find a way to relax while you play.
I try to be more like I'm a musician, a singer--nothing else.
I'm going to do my music as best I can. All I care about is the playing of the music. The money is a side effect of the playing of the music. Sometimes you don't have any and sometimes you have tons. Basically that's the way I look at it. Wonderful. Whenever I have money, I spend it. That's the feast or famine nature of things.
When I was in high school I wanted to be a writer; you know, write novels and short stories. Like all idealistic high school students. I was real turned on by literature as a kid, and I continue to be.
I decided to be in a band for a bunch of years first and then be a writer. I guess I'll have to use a different name when I get around to it. I'm way too green to write. I don't like young writers' stuff. I never did like it. So I thought, why should I write? When I was thinking about it, I figured, I love music, so the best way to gather experiences for writing later was to be in a band for a long time. When you get to be an old geezer, you start writing. That's my plan--my tentative plan. I think the nom de plume is going to have to change though: "Oh yeah, have you checked out the new collection of stories by Evan Dando?" I don't know...
I have this pipe dream that I want to be a writer; write a book of short stories. I'd also like to put out a book of photographs. I use those disposable cameras, but I take good pictures. Maybe in 15 years I'll buy a camera.

Everyone's perception of me is correct. It's true: because there are no options as far as people's perceptions of you, they're all correct. Everything everyone ever thought about me is true.
