I'd like to think our song writing is an off shoot of everyone mentioned above, I forgot to mention Hank Williams senior as a huge songwriting influence. But our sound evolves around who ever is playing or singing, our personality can best be seen in our words, stories and melodies. sounds Like??? hmm, sounds like us.

Hi, You have no idea how pleased we are to have you visist us here, slack jaw johnson is a co op of friends who love to write songs, although we tried this once before we're gonna give it another shot with a different twist, we're going to put a song on here in an extremly rough state, your job is to "cover " the song, give it your own twist, make it better than it is as it sits. The first song I'm going to put up is called "Old black Chevy" I've loved the song since the day i wrote it but we've never been able to really give it the treatment it deserves, so , that said, take this song and turn it into the catchy driving song it deserves to be and then let us hear it, we'll put it up on here and we'll see what kind of attention we can get with it, you'll be credited first and foremost. so...... Lets ROCK!
The two songs above are songs from our "Write a song with us" project, Bill Harris came to our site, took the two acapella tracks and the words we have posted at this link(click this ad to go there) and he added his own music and his vocal, sent the songs back to us and we posted them here. The songs can be done over and over and all versions will be promoted and linked to where they are posted.I'll be rotating song's on a regular basis so feel free to try different ones or, if you don't see a track you liked before , let me know and I'll get it to you, you'll be able to go to the site and check for comments, your name will also be added with the song you did, you'll be able to see how many times your particular track is played. And hopefully with everyones input and help we can make this a really really fun tool to get you out there as an artist and songwriter.
