SLAMicide is THE official track to becoming a part of the Baltimore Slam Team that competes at the National Poetry Slam annually.
We also hold open mics and have regularly scheduled features from across the globe.
Hosted by the Chris August, Granma Dave, Janna Tanner and Chris Wilson, SLAMicide offers witty banter, crazy antics, good fun and genuine affection for this thing we call poetry slam.
In addition, SLAMicide offers a house beatboxer (Shodekeh) who accompanies our features and open micers on request (dude is amazing).
So come out! Sign up for the open mic or the slam! Bring your words, other people's words (we fully endorse OPP - just give credit to the original author) and bring your friends. See you there!
