    First of all, he would like to thank God for making him the man that he is today! Combine real Hip-Hop, Pop, Rock, Rap, R&B, and a little Neo-Soul, and you will have this versatile artist! His name is Christopher Davis, "better know as" S.L.A.P. (Somethin' Like A Playa)! S.L.A.P. was born on November 8 in Fort Pierce, Florida but was raised in Birmingham, Alabama. Like most young people, S.L.A.P. started showing an interest in music at an early age. He and his young friends would sing, dance and pretend to play various instruments and as S.L.A.P. grew older he noticed that he had a special talent for rap. He has worked on his skills since he was a young teen, and after he attended college at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama, the brilliant athlete, knew that he was born to compose music. So in the summer of 2005, he started his own music label, L.N.O. Records, which stands for Like No Other. He is the C.E.O. and one the co-founders of the label, the other is Darrin Veasey "better know as" V-Train. The company has 4 other artists, an in-depth producer's team, and lots of promoters. S.L.A.P. has emerged on the Hip Hop scene as a unique and very talented International artist. He is widely known in the state of Alabama and his fan base is increasing in the entire southern region daily. He has currently re-located to Georgia to change the game in the Atlanta metropolitan area. S.L.A.P. is a music industry "triple threat" as an artist, songwriter, and producer. Artist--The fifth year veteran has been on the rise since his music career began in 2004. His first every mix cd "DJ J.A.P.A.N." (Winter 2004) was not a success, but the second "MixTape Mayhem 05-06" (Spring 2006) did great with local distribution (ATL and B'ham)! Due to the semi-success, he started booking shows and entering competitions. Now he has performed over 50 shows in the southern region (Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee) since Mid 2006. Finally, in Nov. 2007 he got his first break! He dropped a leak L.N.O. Project cd in Alabama and 500 units were released. He received very positive feedback so he decided to revamp and revise the cd. Now his third mix cd "The L.N.O. Project" (Feb. 1st 2008) has independently sold over 7,000 copies and has put L.N.O. Records on the map! The cd consists of himself, V-Train, Justin Ross aka J. Ross, Wade Watson aka Hubcap, Maurice Mullins aka Nu-Mr. Reece, and Joshua Tucker aka Tyrone. Since then, he has opened and worked with major Hip-Hop/Rap artists like Rick Ross (Slip-N-Slide/Def Jam), Yung LA (Grand Hustle), Jackie Chain (Universal Records), Shawty Lo (D4L/Asylum Records), Ricko Da 1 Draft Pick (LLMG/ Slip-N-Slide), Gorilla Zoe (Block Ent/Bad Boy), B.A.M.A. (CTE/Def Jam), Playaz Circle (DTP/Def Jam), Ace Hood (Def Jam), and Young Jeezy (CTE/Def Jam). Now Chris has performed and blessed the "International Waters" in the Bahamas and the United Kingdom! His first Independent Album (EP) entitled "Somethin' Like A Playa" was released on April 1, 2009 and it was extremely diverse! Then he followed that releasing 3 other company mix tapes ("Beats, Rhymes, & Ice Vol. 1", "2012", "The Closer"). Now his first and highly anticipated Album (LP) will be released in Winter 2011, and will be a consumer's classic! Songwriter--S.L.A.P. is also an excellent songwriter. He has been rapping all his life, but has been writing music in the studio for 5 years. Mr. Davis is a songwriter whose words will pierce your soul. His lyrics and stories are filled with messages that inspire young & old alike. And, his hooks - simply stated, his hooks stick to your mind like peanut butter sticks to the roof of your mouth. In fact, his rhymes roll off of his tongue with the accuracy of a surgeon's scalpel. Prodcuer--He has been producing and composing music for 3 years as well. He is a meticulous engineer! S.L.A.P.'s expertise as an engineer delicately relaxes you into musical submission. Also, he is a composer whose instrumentals are consider as "world beats" that will have you humming them frequently! He has been fortunate to have produced over a hundred artists from the states of Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. S.L.A.P. brings a new and innovative style to the industry, and is truly the complete package. His impact in music will surely be remembered for decades. His musical styling has and will continue to bring about the positive change that many have wanted to hear as well as see in the world of hip hop.
