Sounds Like
Our influences....like everybody else, except mixed together better. Because of the variety of songs, our acoustic stuff is rather intense, while the electric stuff is a bit jarring. It all has the same point though: assertiveness and beauty.
"Fun, Playful Sassy vocals, Super melodies,Radio Catchy hooks ,Crisp tight production and Snappy Pop Songwriting - makes SLAPDASH RECIPROCAL a Super Pop Rocking Experience! We dug it a lot. This Band's A Real Sparkler!"

"You hear it all in there. Some Gabriel, some Weller...oh--that sounds like some Partridge! And some 70's soul...punk...singer/songwriter as well. Does it sound like a complete mess? It should, but it doesn't. It actually sounds really, really great -- REALLY,really great!"
Robbie Rist
"Assertive guitar driven tunes covering a variety of themes. Some rock, some soothe, most get you going. No solos, no ballads, just quick fixes for those in need of quality songs from the Church of pop rock and alternative music!"

Slapdash formed in 1995 under another name, and switched in 1996-97. After numerous gigs throughout the Los Angeles, Hollywood and Silver Lake areas, they gained some notoriety as a peppy, assertive (relatively quick) tour de force.
In 1998 the band took a hiatus from gigging, and came back in 2000 as a power-trio. The band also also acquired the US trademark to the name at that time.
Recently:
Slapdash recorded it's debut CD Reciprocal in 2005-06, and it was released on-line in March, 2007.
Reciprocal (or any of the songs on it) is also available for purchase at itunes, as well as Digstation.com. You can purchase the physical CD from CD BABY as well (it contains an extra track and stuff).
Giving credit where credit is due:
The recording was produced by Robbie Rist and the band, with Missy Buettner engineering, at The Boathouse in Woodland Hills, CA.(see our "friends" to get to their page) It was mastered by David Guerrero (Third Grade Teacher). The cover was designed by the band, and Mike Simmons (Sparklejets UK).
All the songs on it are written by Steven Graff (BMI).
If we could have MORE TOP FRIENDS, we'd make a kind mention to the 150 college radio stations that played tracks from our debut. You'll find them on our website , and among our MySpace friends...
