Slate&Kelly is a fun romp with two Police Academy rejects who develop an unusual partnership in order to find the person responsible for a string of serial murders of drag queens in Weho. It’s her brawn to his brains -- her real world savvy to his cyber brilliance. Slate&Kelly are novice, gay private investigators who combine their quirky talents and manage… somehow… to solve the mystery and in the process find friendship with each other.
J.P. Slate -“The Brawn.”
A tall, hot “Cathy DeBuono” type with a soul as gentle as her exterior is tough. Slate makes her living tending to the monkeys as the County Zoo and lives alone in her West Hollywood apartment. In her mid-thirties, with no career, no health insurance, no girlfriend, no family of her own and no secure future, Slate has begun to question if she will ever figure it all out.
Sean Patrick Kelly - “The Brains.”
Kelly’s a handsome 30-something, recovering addict who works for minimum wage at WeHo’s Sheriff’s Department. An introverted cyber-genius, still living with his parents, Kelly starves to be a part of something meaningful and sees his chance when the LA
PD suggests a job change.

John W. McLaughlin - (Producer, Star - "Sean Patrick Kelly") JOHN'S MYSPACE PAGE
Like Cathy, John earned an Advanced Associates Degree from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City where he was also a member of the prestigious Academy Company. It was there that the two friends hashed out the origins of "Slate and Kelly". In 1996, he made his Off-Broadway debut in the US premier of English playwright Dusty Hughes’ campus drama “Bad Language” in the role of Alistair. Since relocating to Los Angeles, John has been involved in a handful of television and independent film projects and is the co-creator, co-producer and co-star of "Slate&Kelly". He is seen in film most recently in "The Touch" after what seems to be an eternal hiatus.

It earned a fiscal sponsorship from Women Make Movies (WMM) and was awarded the Panasonic Digital Filmmaker's Grant, as well as receiving a grant from the Arch and Bruce Brown Foundation, and in-kind support from an overwhelming number of companies. It made it’s debut at the Northampton Independent Film Festival November 10, 2007, and is scheduled to play a number of upcoming festivals. CALPERNIA ADDAMS – Supporting - “Jodie”
Calpernia was inadvertently thrust onto the public stage when her lover, a soldier in the US Army, was beaten to death when their relationship was discovered. Her latest short, “Casting Pearls” she executive produced, wrote and starred in. It is a short comedic film by Deep Stealth Productions which illustrates the difficulties transwomen face in Hollywood. Calpernia Addams stars as The Actress, who goes on a hectic series of auditions. Directed by Andrea James, this short is being distributed worldwide by Frameline Distribution.

“SACRIFICE is a full frontal assault on your senses. It is a dark, brutal, bloody and terribly frightening book. Everson went deep into some dark abyss to bring this book to the light of day.... I highly recommend SACRIFICE.” —Famous Monsters of Filmland
“John Everson manages in SACRIFICE to dispense buckets of blood, provide edgy perversity, and walk the tenuous tightrope of horror and sex without falling: It’s rather an amazing feat.” –Hell Notes
