2006 : It all starts in a cold winter of december. 2 friends wanna start a new metal band. Caveman and beastings begin their task. Creating a kind of metal in a original way. They wanted to have a name wich had all to do with the history from their hometown. Before being complete the 1st name came up: City Of Angels was the 1st idea. Not much later changed into Slavantas. With only this it was time to look for members. 2007 : One month later they found member 3. His name Blazer joined them on guitar. In the end of january they started to jam. Meanwhile several auditions took place. Not finding the right people till the summer of that year. Then the last members were finally found. Darkone joined in playing baritone guitar. Metal Andy playing lead guitar. With this line up Slavantas was born. 2008 : A few months later some songs were made. They deicided to spread their music. In march they recorded their first demo. Done at the muziekgieterij in Maastricht. 3 songs on it with a duration about 12 min. This demo motivates the band for more and is sold to some friends and to the underground. In no time the demo is sold out. Later in september Slavantas plays their first live gig. A self organized fest at the muziekgieterij,nl. A great gig with much positive response. (Thanx to the several bands who where there.). Always when nice things come alive there is a chance that bad things come along. So within 2 months personal conflicts showed up. Sadly some things that couldn't be solved. In a very short period Andy and Darkone left. Hard days and again back to level zero. No new songs could be made and the old ones could not be played. New auditions took place. Finally in nov J.T.Ripper was found on guitar. A great new inspiration and improvement. In dec Black Art was found on bassguitar. 2009 : With the new line up is was time for more gigs. Playing from small places till bigger stages. After several shows in Holland and Belgium they played in march at the Nor. As supportact from the dutch rockers Vengeance. A live demo is the conclusion from that day. Containing 2 live songs with a great sound. This demo is also sold out in a short period. With more gigs to come the ride continues. 2010 : This is a period of recording the old songs. To close the book for newer work. It's february as Slavantas releases their low budget ep Stand your Ground. Not a perfect sound ,but something to begin with (A rehearsal recording ep.) The release show takes place at the Barrock on 19 february at their hometown. A super night follows till the early hours. Due musical differences and struggles it's time for Caveman to leave the band. Just 3 weeks later the perfect replacement is found in the name of Sol Ra. He brings Slavantas to a level they all have been waiting for. He makes the old songs sound different. Slavantas is hungry for more. 2011 : On 9th jan Slavantas plays as a last minute booking to support saxon at the rock temple (kerkrade). This will be the last gig with Sol ra. Due private problems and lack of time. A new replacement is found in Gismo. Again going into a higher level. Ready for bigger things to come. With this line up they are more ready then ever. Making new songs and playing more gigs. 2012: As the band improves in many things the ride continues. PLaying several gigs and havin great response it's time for something else. Slavantas wants to get in a studio to record a quality full length cd what they finally deserve. When dates are confirmed and with who and where we let you know. It must be a blast after many things that went wrong in the past. To let the people here what they really are. Meanwhile Slavantas is playing gigs wherever they lay their hands on. Some wellknown bands they played with : Vengeance,Skull Fist,Vanderbuyst,Steel Wing,Od Saxon and many others. Searching for labels,management and bookings. Stay tuned for more updates.
