Why? Let me put it like this. You like myspace right? Well lets say myspace is a club you like to go to. And AOL is the only cab service available to take you there. But AOL stops taking you one day, and will only take you to Club Friendster because club friendster pays AOL to bring you there. Then on top of that you are paying AOL as well. Now if you get in a cab shouldn't you be able to tell them where to take you since your paying for the ride? AOL AT&T Verzion among others are trying to get congress to hand over the internet to them so they can direct more of your money into there pockets and also kill there competition.
