Yo Teens!!!
Welcome to our library online. We are the Tesson Ferry Teen Advisory Group (TF TAG), and we have taken over the library's myspace page!
This group was formed to put together a new teen section at the Tesson Ferry branch of the library. We did all of the planning: what we wanted in the section, how we would decorate it, and what rules would be put into effect after its creation. Since some of the things we wanted were expensive, we had to work hard to get grants from the government and raise money at events, like our book sale in April. That money was put to good use, as we bought furniture, paint and even a neon sign to decorate. We hosted a party to start off the new space and hold monthly meetings to keep the section running smoothly. We also do events for teens held at the library and plan future activities! Since our section was created by cool and imaginative teens instead of adults, we know that other teens will enjoy it.
Now that our new space has been created, there are many things to keep us entertained. The PS2, laptops and iPods are always ready for teens ages 12 to 18 to use. Just check them out at the desk! Keep them for an hour if there's a line, or for an entire afternoon. Remember: our cool new technology is owned by the library, and cannot be taken home. There's lots to do, and plenty of books to read, so please come and visit our library!
