Attention/Important- since the break up of the band in /06 this myspace account has pretty much been left for dead, or so we thought. it has recently been brought to our attention that someone, somehow knew or password and has been harassing girls online. Needless to say this is very fucked up and we apologize and assure you this will not be happening anymore.
It has recently been decided by the remaining members of Sleeper Set Sail that we are not going to pursue a future with the band. Our lull over the summer of 2006 brought new opportunities for us as both individuals as well as musicians. for the first time in 4 years, we each found ourselves embracing new ideas and achieving goals for which previously we were unable to find time. Mike has moved to toronto and is currently working his iddy bitty little titties off writing the music that's in his heart. We all have no doubt that crazy little muther fucker will find peace and happiness in whatever he does. Tom has decided he'd rather be a nobody and that he thinks that everyone, including himself, is completely full of shit. Casey however is currently working on writing and recording a full length record which will be released under his own name while also planning some future events as a part of City & Colour. Speechly meanwhile is a paramount member of Caseys new band and is completely redefining himself as the most tasteful and skilled bassist on the planet. Casey and Trev spend 24 hours a day together working on new songs and making love till the sun reminds them to sleep.
For those of you who are bummed out by the news, please try to understand that Sleeper Set Sail was started in 2002 while we were all 16 years old. That band was in every way our musical high school sweetheart but naturally people grow try new things. As much as you dont want to break anybodys heart, its just time to move on. If you thought sleeper was good... truthfully, you were just seeing the tip of the iceberg. Casey and Speechly have enough music left in them to supply to you until youre old and flabby and have kids who think we're lame because their gross old parents listen to us.
