Hi, my name is Will Patterson and these are some of my recordings. Currently I play in the Austin band Sunset with some of my best friends. Before Sunset, I was recruited to play Moog synthesizer for the band Sound Team which was extremely exciting considering that they were my favorite band of the time. In order to do this, I graduated high school early and moved up to Austin from San Antonio when I was 17. I have released three albums since I was 16 and am currently working on a new album which I plan to do a full release on CD and vinyl.
In addition to Sunset and Sound Team, I have recorded music with several other projects which you may find in the near future. Currently, I am trying to pursue music while studying Film at University of Texas. It is difficult to go full force for this reason. The reason why I am studying film is because I would like to pursue a career in composing for films and scoring.
On this site, I like to post either songs I have just finished or random works. If you would like to listen to samples or download any of my three albums, they are on iTunes, Rhapsody, and most other online sites. I apologize for not having hard copies of my first two albums...they are all gone. If there are enough requests, I will make another run of CDs.
As far as influences, it is hard for me to name them because they are constantly changing. Lately I haven't been listening to that much music for some reason. Hopefully this will change. There are some staples though... Beatles, Beach Boys, Eno, Nilsson, Animal Collective, The Supremes, Gershwin, and Raymond Scott.
If there were to be anything I could ask for, it would be for people to hear my songs. If you have any interest in my music, please give it to your friends and help me gain some momentum!
