.. Culminating an eclectic mix of influences, an undeniable stage presence, and a hint of boyish charm, Sleeping Lessons strives to hook fans and critics alike. Rooted in a small shoreline community where the number of private beaches exceeds the number of local bands, they hope to shed new light on a dying music scene. .... While Preston Briggs (Drums) and Andrew Seltzer (Bass) have been making music together since the beginning of high school, they concluded that finding the right frontman was crucial for a definitive sound. After a few lineup changes, enter Colin Filgate (Vocals, Guitar, Piano), a mutual friend from high school with a solid musical background. Bringing with him new influences and musical insight, his addition has set the foundation for what the band hopes to accomplish in the future. .... After hours of practice, lost voices, and a few broken instruments, the band is thrilled about the new sound. "We really just want to have as much fun as possible," says Andrew Seltzer, "We've learned that it's about the journey, not just the destination, and making new friends along the way!" The band has been doing just that, perfecting their live show alongside bands such as Sherwood, Anarbor, Sparks The Rescue, We Are The In Crowd, performing at the Hoodwink Festival in New Jersey, and a slot on the "Better Connecticut" morning show with Scott Haney on CBS. .... A: We are still in the process of finishing the songs, but we are hoping to release it within the next month or two!.... ..Q: Where can I get a hold of your songs?.... When we release our album you will be able to purchase them on iTunes and at our shows!.... ..Q: Is Andrew’s hair real?....
