With influences such as Placebo, Joy Division, Muse and Radiohead, their music is made of hook-leads and sing-to vocal melodies that can either make you ‘tap your heels out loud’ or reflect on your beliefs.
California based, Sleep Paralysis find music to be their greatest form of expression. Since their birth in 2003, the band has performed at many venues throughout southern California as well as in Mexico. They have played from local gigs to large festivals where they have shared the stage with various National acts. In early 2004, the band released their first E.P. titled "40% Ghosts". This first E.P. marked the beginning of Sleep Paralysis’ musical career. With songs like ’Mourn’ Sleep Paralysis began to build a fan base that extended past local fans and specific genre tastes. Since then their music has grown; experimenting with their styles, talents, and the ever growing musical influences.
