Hey guys. Yeah, unfortunately I am done for the summer, but I'm sure I'll be back out at Big Red before too long. Um, you should check out Bombs Away Cafe in Corvallis. They usually require a press kit of some sort, but it's a fairly decent venue that has concerts on a regular basis. Good luck, and let me know if you do end up playing in town. I'd love to come out.
TUESDAY 8/11/09: MARK TWAIN INDIANS, THE VALLEY ARENA, OH CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN
“[SMART ROCK] Don’t let the riffage scare you. The Valley Arena’s new disc, We Died, finds the SoCal crew engaging in hard rock as smart as it is heavy: Tricky post-hardcore guitar licks are there to buoy cleverly jingoistic turns of phrase. Fans of bass-heavy ‘90s indie rock like Jawbox and Seaweed ought to dig the group’s smartly aggressive aesthetic, which grows in spurts with each release. And you thought nobody was making worthwhile rock ’n’ roll anymore. Psshh.” - CASEY JARMAN, The Willamette Week
Hey guys, how's it going? Did you all get to hear the cover demos? I think they turned out pretty good and Billy here at Big Red was liking them pretty well also, which is quite the complement.
Hey is TV Highway about the street that goes through the Hillsboro and Beaverton area? I used to drive that road all the time.
