   Sleepygirl Solutions's Blurbs
About me:

No, I'm not a spandex-clad superhero...just a regular girl who tends to work all night, tapping furiously away at the keyboard promoting clients or working on new graphic design projects. I love art, music, quirky people, new places and new adventures....actually, that pretty much sums up my day to day life. Never a dull moment for the sleepiest of sleepy girls.

I've been working primarily in the Fine Art and Marketing/PR industries for the past three years, I've also been filming virtual tours, building websites and creating custom graphic work since 1998. Currently I am combining all of my experience under one title, Creative Consultant.

My clients are small business owners, entrepreneurs, musicians, artists, galleries and nonprofits--those in need a professional on line or print presence and with a desire to tap into their community. I offer creative design and personalized attention combined with my background knowledge of marketing and PR a to ensure my clients achieve the results they're looking for.

I am also passionate about promoting the arts and artists of all mediums. It's difficult to imagine a world without art or music because they are so intricately woven into our daily lives...but, public funding for the arts is being cut and the arts are being squeezed out of our schools more and more each year. Even after numerous studies have been done across the US by many different organizations showing that the arts and culture stimulate the economy, create a better quality of life, create brighter more intelligent students that go on to be more productive Citizens and on and on.

Support your local artists; ask for original music at your local music venues, festivals and events, seek out visual artists when you're thinking of adding a decorative piece to your business, home or garden and ask your kid's schools to put more of an emphasis on the arts (i.e. creative thinking!)

Arts-centric businesses represent 4.3 percent of all U.S. businesses and 2.2 percent of all jobs. Nationally, there are more than 612,000 arts-related businesses that employ nearly 3 million people. Employment growth by arts-centric businesses since 2007 was 11.6 percent -- more than four times the rise in the total number of U.S. employees of 2.4 percent.
Who I'd like to meet:

Anyone interesting, creative or just plain kooky (I ESPECIALLY enjoy kooky!)and, of course, other professionals, artists, musicians looking to network....

Hey Miss Lia...
I just wanted to
stop by here and
tell you that I
really dig the
song on your music
player. It totally
has a 70's groovy
vibe to it. Makes
me feel real mellow!
I love to find new
stuff that I haven't
heard before...thanks!
Hope you are doing
well and fighting
the good fight. I
sent my letters to
our congressmen on
the Orphaned Rights
bill, but it looks
like they support it.
Boo Hiss!

Well have a great
week ahead! :o)
Cheers,
~ Wens

Hey Sleepygirl...
I'm actually a sleepy
girl right now myself.
But ever the night owl
that I am...I am still
up at 1:30. {yawn}
So welcome to my kitschy,
groovy MySpace pad. I had
a Halloween page that was
much darker, but I deleted
it...ha! So yes...just
throw on your shades and
come "get your groove on",
as right now I am in Disco
mode. I'll be onto to
something else soon I'm
sure. Glad we could
connect. Have a great
day tomorrow! :o)
xo,
Wens
