I love acting, writing and playing music, along with riding motorcycles ..
Music
I like many styles of music. Rock Alternative Rock Southern Rock Country Rock Country Rockabilly Pop Blues Funk R&B Dance Jazz Classical Etc Etc
I sometimes hear people say"This or that band sucks." just because it isn't their particular style of music. People need to keep an open mind and learn to appreciate different styles of music.
I'm currently getting ready to start a new album and get the band together. I'll be looking for players and sponsors for a tour.
To all my fans and friends,
The I Remember CD is now available, so if you don't have it, please buy it now.
Let me start by saying that if you want me to add you as a friend i must be able to view your profile WELCOME ABOARD MY FRIENDS I WANT TO THANK THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE ME ON YOUR TOP FRIENDS AND PLAYLISTS I APPRECIATE IT I WILL TRY TO ROTATE YOU AND THOSE WHO DO THE SAME WITH ME ON A REGULAR BASIS
My musical journey started at 6 years old when i picked up the accordian. I was taught to play polkas, waltzes and old standards. At age 11, I played at the Illinois State Fair. I learned to play Beatles songs on my accordion and I watched shows like American Bandstand, Shindig, Ed Sullivan, Johnny Carson, Lawerence Welk Johnny Cash , Andy Williams, Mitch Miller, Jack Parr, etc. with my parents so as a kid. I would sit in front of the TV and practice playing along with the TV and radio. In the late 60s I was shipped off to Tennessee to attend military school, where I played drums in the Drum and Bugle corps.
I was also honored to be the Captain and MVP of the Basketball team
After returning to Illinois, I quit school (like an idiot) to pursue a career in music.
One day, I figured that my accordion was just sitting there, collecting dust, so I went to the music store and traded it in for a cheap guitar and taught myself how to play it.
In 1969, I played my first gig at the Boulder Hill Civic Center. I was paid $10.
I started the band "Oz" back in 1975. We had two drummers, Ken Kramer and Ron Reese rockin the stage together at the same time, with Bob Halstead on bass.
Bob later moved out of state and we replaced Bob with Tom Fletcher on bass
and then later on we added Greg Crenshaw as well.
We then changed our name to "Hard Attack." After touring with Hard Attack, we made a couple of records. Unfortunately, my best friend and drummer of 10 years, Ken Kramer, hit a rock and fell off his motorcycle. He broke his wrist two days before we were supposed to play our first 10 week Canadian tour.
We tried replacing Ken with a temporary drummer at the last minute, but after being with this guy for one day, we knew he was not gonna work out. We made it as far as S. Dakota and turned the bus around and came home. Tom Fletcher and Ron Reese died years ago R.I.P, guys you are missed.
In the 1980's, I wrote a song and did a PSA for WPWR Television about drinking and driving called "I'd like to see you again". A song about a friend who liked to party too much and died from drinking and driving.
MUSIC IS LIFE
For a while, I worked at a recording studio duplicating Billy Graham's weekly sermons for radio stations throughout the world.
I did some voice-over work for television, which I love doing, and I also worked as a stage hand for the Paramount Theater on shows such as:
"Annie"
"Grease"
"Summer Song"
"Chorus Line"
"The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas"
"Cats"
"Sha Na Na"
"Loretta Lynn"
and many more.
I owned my own recording studio, where I produced myself and tried to help other artists, only to lose it to a fire. It was later used as a rehearsal spot for some friends of mine for a short period until it was resold.
I finished the
I Remember CD a few years ago, i did all the Vocals, guitars, keyboard, and Bass tracks myself direct except two songs that John Lessick played Bass on
Jeff Wild played the drum tracks, on my Roland TD-10 Kit Jeff and i did all the Background vocals, then we mixed everything in my front room at the house, with just headphones, because we did'nt have any reference monitors, and we didnt want to disturb my neighbors. so the mix and mastering kinda sucks, and i should have rerecorded some of my vocals tracks over as well, but i was in a hurry to get my songs out there .. Live and Learn
John Lessick, moved away to Ohio and now plays with his Bues band
Jeff Wild is in his new band still rockin and rollin
Legendary drummer Mike Neff eventually replaced Jeff Wild on the drums, Mike played with Chicago legends Off Broadway, The Hounds, and also worked with Black Oak Arkansas, whom he met thru his roommate drummer great Tommy Aldridge Sadly Mike died in August of 2006.(R.I.P.)
I am currently writing new material and i cant wait to find the right players and crew to get my new band together, so i can just play music and let someone else, worry about the technical stuff etc. etc I am also still working at learning Logic 9 studio and Final Cut HD i am currently also AVAILABLE if needed to work with other bands, RECORDING STUDIO PROJECTS TV COMMERCIALS VOICEOVERS ETC.ETC.
Sometimes i almost need to have 2 Bands just in case someone cant do a gig, most of the local artists are already either in great bands or they cant or dont want to travel out of state or tour
I love to write songs and record in the studio however i need to be out there where i can connect with my fans and friends, so i really love to play out live, thats where its at for me and it's time for me to play around the world. I do MAINLY ORIGINAL music and some good old Rock n roll, Blues, Classic rock and a few country jams as well

I read and listened to your music page. I love your sound and bluesy music. Thank you for the opportunity to browse your page. From Facebook to MySpace is really nice to be friends on both pages. Your a very talented musician! I watched your videos after I was at your Facebook page. Excellent! I am really impressed. Lets stay in contact. I would really like to hear what is going on in your world. Personally and professionally speaking.
My passion is in the music and here on the spaces there is so much from everywhere. There is so much to be appreciated to be able to listen to a variety of music; some signed and some unsigned. I am a music critic and taking a break for the season. I do miss the challenges of critiquing the music but I may not be back to my critic work on My Space until sometime in the Fall. I am taking the Summer off! Time to have some fun and relaxation.
Music is Life, Like Air is to Breath...
"The aim of music, the aim of a life can only be to increase the sum of freedom and responsibility to be found in every man and in the world. It cannot, under any circumstances, be to reduce or suppress that freedom, even temporarily. No great work has ever been based on hatred and contempt. On the contrary, there is not a single true work of music that has not in the end added to the inner freedom of each person who has known and loved it." ~J .08
