SLICK PELT
...is guitar slinger Michael "Nipsy" Louis,
troubadour par excellence Manny "Willy" Berlingo (1960-2002),
Mikey "Chops" Laconte on howlin' doghouse bass,
and Kevin Dorn, Tommy "Goose" Seguso & Bill Tello on drums.
Sired in the belly of New York City and born asskickin' in 1995, SLICK PELT consistently walloped the East Coast with an explosive, take-no-prisoners, show. Their unstoppable renegade vitality, fused with their distinct hybrid punkabilly country surfer sound, packs an adrenaline punch of "PURE PELT." To date, SLICK PELT has shared the stage with such rock luminaries as The Blasters, Robert Gordon, George Clinton and P-Funk, Koko Taylor, Gov't Mule, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Dennis Quaid & the Sharks, and the Spin Doctors.
They have toured the South, Mid-West, all over the NYC Tri-State area and headlined
the late, great CBGB's many a time. They had the pleasure of performing @ the great
rockabilly bar, the Blue Comet in Glenside, PA on a regular basis. They have played with 100's of local bands that ranged from Pop to Metal
and made rockabilly fans out of people who never heard of the genre with their
fresh approach, varied influences and killer live performances.
Their CD's continue to sell all over the world and as recent as this year (2007)
have gotten their songs in upcoming movies.
