Justin Boreta, who records as Boreta and is also a member of The Glitch Mob, and Ryan Gilbert, who's tightly refined electronic excursions don the Comma moniker, met while exploring the abandoned warehouses and industrial wastelands along the Western coast. Fittingly, Slidecamp culls its name from a grove discovered during a trip to the dense forest valleys beneath Washington State's Mt. Olympus. The duo found a kinship in the research of sonic horizons beyond their own personal musical projects that is influenced as much by the expansive tide pools of the West Coast as they are the graffiti wars of San Francisco.
