About me:
I'm just your average proud mama of three, birth junkie, Milwaukee resident. I was trained as a doula in 1997 and am now a homebirth midwife serving the Milwaukee area. I'm a breastfeeding educator (since 1999) and am dedicated to helping the mamatoto diad.
I also write a parenting column for an amazing local arts and culture magazine called Vital Source. My column is The Slightly Crunchy Parent and you can pick me (or the magazine, that is) up all over the city.

Who I'd like to meet:
Well, I always wanted to meet Ina May Gaskin, but I did that a couple of years ago. She was as amazing as I thought she'd be... And she wanted to talk about oral sex the whole time we were together. Swear to god! I also wanted to meet Barbara Harper, and I did that too. She was also wonderful. I met Ann Frye back in 2001 and she blew my mind with her attention to detail and her grace under fire. Penny Simkin was similarily mind-blowing with her kindness. So now I'd like to meet other like-minded, open-minded, natural birthing, attachment parenting kinds of folks locally and work on growing our community.
