We regret to announce that after over 2 years of fun and, more importantly, hard rocking blues, Slightly Restrained are calling it a day. All members will be persuing other products. Sam is studying at SAE, James is studying at Durham University, and Rob is studying at Oxford. James and Rob have another project on the go, Venture South, which can be heard at myspace.com/venturesouth
We'd all just like to say a big thanks to everyone who's supported us over the times. We love you all, and hopefully blues will live on in the hearts and minds of another generation.
Slightly Restrained
Slightly Restrained are a blues-rock band from Kent, UK. They have been together for over 2 years now, but play with the confidence you might expect from a band who have been playing the blues circuit for much longer.
Regularly receiving praise for their live performances as well as their original songwriting and musicality, the band are well on their way to becoming the UK's next blues sensation.
The band's unique style is constantly developing, influenced by the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan, the up-and-coming John Mayer, the UK's best blues-rock artist Aynsley Lister and also the great Jimi Hendrix. The band's songs fuse aspects from all of these styles and more, creating an edgier and more powerful blues sound than you will hear anywhere else.
