Slightly
Restrained

***NOTICE***

We regret to announce that after over 2 years of fun and, more importantly, hard rocking blues, Slightly Restrained are calling it a day. All members will be persuing other products.

Sam is studying at SAE, James is studying at Durham University, and Rob is studying at Oxford. James and Rob have another project on the go, Venture South, which can be heard at myspace.com/venturesouth

We'd all just like to say a big thanks to everyone who's supported us over the times. We love you all, and hopefully blues will live on in the hearts and minds of another generation.

Slightly Restrained

Slightly Restrained are a blues-rock band from Kent, UK. They have been together for over 2 years now, but play with the confidence you might expect from a band who have been playing the blues circuit for much longer.

Regularly receiving praise for their live performances as well as their original songwriting and musicality, the band are well on their way to becoming the UK's next blues sensation.

The band's unique style is constantly developing, influenced by the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan, the up-and-coming John Mayer, the UK's best blues-rock artist Aynsley Lister and also the great Jimi Hendrix. The band's songs fuse aspects from all of these styles and more, creating an edgier and more powerful blues sound than you will hear anywhere else.

Browse this page for more information, for details of their extensive gigging schedule in South Eastern England, or to buy copies of their CDs.

Stephen Sullivan of Kent's Invicta FM: "Slightly Restrained sound like they've been playing on the blues circuit for 10 years."

A new full-length album is to be released by the end of June 2006, and will feature songs from the band's popular live set.

To email the band for bookings, general info etc. the address is: slightlyrestrained@hotmail.com

See you at the gig!

Greetings People, in order to thank you all for the inundation of lovely comments that you have posted on my myspace profile I am posting this informal comment to you all. What with all the work I have to do; travelling the world delivering the love, touching people deep inside, mixing the new album, making the new website www.thehighpriestofrap.co.uk and talking to record labels, I unfortunately don't have the time to respond to you all individually, so please accept my apologies. At the moment I have a white label e.p. for sale, five english pounds. Contact me through my profile if this interests you. There are old and new albums available with three or four free downloads per album on the website. Gig dates are also on the horizon too, so expect some love coming your way. Want to book
the High Priest? Just contact me, I'm always ready for a show. So thank you all for your kind words. God Bless you all.

Now Let Me Touch You Deep Inside..

Blistering performance at OPGS the other night - you make a lot of noize for just two of yers. Shame that the arse on the sound desk was more interested in pulling faces and joking with his chums than doing something very fundamental for a sound man - delivering good sound. HardCoreSoftPrawn were barely audible save for the (excellent) guitar. Average Contents would have been justified in kickin his ass! But HARD!

Hello!

Thank you for the add! We've put you as one of te 9 kent bands to look out for on our Kent Bands page...

<font size=4><font color=red>See it all on <a href="http://www.backbeatbands.co.uk"><font size=4>www.backbeatbands.co.uk</a></font></font></font>

BackBeat Bands are ridiculously enthusiastic about music. We feature new bands, Kent bands, Kent gigs, and have lots of reviews and interviews and much more tomfoolery besides.

We're looking for new UK writers to help us out in exchange for free gig tickets and we're also on the look out for new bands to feature (particularly Kent bands but we welcome anything) - send us a message if you're interested!
