hey slim,

a little self-promo here:

Here's another f-in' reminder! Please help send me to LA to make a video and meet fancy-pants Hollywood movers and shakers! It's easy as pie! I know you know how, but this is for the benefit of YOUR gentle readers! Go to www. myspace. com/henrypooleishere and VOTE SCARTH! Every day until the 14th!

Thanks a million. Make it two.

Scarth

p.s. for those who don't know me: My song got picked out of 3500 entries to be a finalist in this film song contest. and now it's up to the myspace voters to put me over the top and win! I'm up against some pretty heavy hitters from LA, so this underdog needs all the help he can get!

Open Mic Documentary
Producer/Director – Slim Critchlow

Friday and Sunday at 9:00 PM on Channel 31

Discover New Music
The Bay Area has got a lively Open Mic Music scene. Slim Critchlow captures the wide variety of acts in San Francisco, the East Bay and beyond.

Since October of 2006 Slim has filmed Open Mics in Marin, San Francisco, the East Bay and the South Bay, including an Open Mic tour across the USA in the Fall of 2007 which included Chicago, New York, Pittsburg, Louisville and Kansas City.

Slim is now picking the best performances from all those dates and creating the shows you will see here. To find out more about any of the artists in these shows go to TheOpenMic. Net and check out the profiles page.

Background
In the summer of 2006 Slim Critchlow lost a lifelong friend and musical collaborator, Bob Furber. Slim and Bob met at a recording studio in East Oakland CA during the Bay Area music scene of the mid 70's. After a month or so of reflecting upon their relationship, Slim decided as a tribute to his friend and the family he left behind, to document up and coming musicians in the current Bay Area music scene.

sup slim!
ya missed a good one last night. dj & the tricksters played great! really good musicians on stage at all instruments are those zen tricksters. we (deadbeats) used to do gigs in the midwest with them in the early 90's! Jeff just tears it up on guitar with a vintage wake of the flood era sounding jerry style! lots of famous 70's tunes.....stu allen tore it up with them in the second set and lots of grateful dead family there enjoying being with donna. stu & i were really honered that we were asked to open the show. we delivered the goods for sure to a great crowd.
apple jacks friday night with ragged glory & saturday night at the plough with amy gabel from ragged glory opening for jerry hannan who is one great songwriter!
coolio...se you around.

Hey Slim,

Thanks for the message ... long time, no see!

Yeah, I've quit just about all the groups and duos I was performing with, so I've been AWOL from the Open Mics for the most part.

Just out here smellin' the flowers, pickin' ukulele, croonin' the good songs.

Gimme a ring sometime my friend,
