JOHNNY GRUESOME Book Trailer
I'm probably best known for writing and directing the 1988 cult horror film SLIME CITY, available on DVD at my website, slimeguy.com. I also made UNDYING LOVE, which E.I. Cinema released on VHS under the horrible title NEW YORK VAMPIRE; it is not yet available on DVD. My third film, NAKED FEAR, is an extra on the SLIME DVD.
In 2004, my first novel, PERSONAL DEMONS, was selected by acclaimed author T.M. Wright as the winner of the anubis Award for Horror, a publishing contest which resulted in the book being published as a Limited Edition hardcover and small press paperback.
In January of 2008, my new novel, JOHNNY GRUESOME, was published as a Limited Edition HC by Bad Moon Books, featuring an introduction by Jeff Strand and artwork by Eric Mache and Zach McCain. The LE is almost sold out.
Giasone and Marcy Italiano created GRUESOME, a rock CD based the book; Matt Patterson of Matty Mask created the Johnny Gruesome Death Mask; I directed a music video based on the novel and CD starring Misty Mundae; and two-online comics, drawn by Kelly Forbes and Martin Blanco, won the NYC Horror Film Festival Best Comic Book Award. JOHNNY GRUESOME is now available as a mass market Trade Paperback from Medallion Press; it is available in bookstores across the U.S. and Canada. Medallion is publishing PERSONAL DEMONS as a mass market paperback in October 2009, and my werewolf novel in 2010.
