...When the English come to Minervois, what happens? Rock’n’roll! Slim Tim and the Quarterpounders have been away from England for a week following gigs in Brighton. In short they are funny and interesting guys who care about the music and are demon rockers. With many covers and original numbers including ‘Fed It With Some Credit’ and ‘Blood Boiling Baby’ they made it their mission to take their music to the French villages.

"We still get a kick out of playing live, I couldn’t imagine not doing it, we just enjoy playing. It’s nice now, it’s got so informal because we dont have to rehearse too often. We jam all sorts of things, completely different things, and we enjoy each others company. I think we’ve improved as musicians and we’ve played with other bands which we’ve really enjoyed...."

"We still enjoy the gigging. It’s great fun, it gives us lots of experience and it’s a good laugh. We’ve got a name for being a good live energetic R’n’B band....In pubs its the music people want to listen to. There’s nothing like playing live, especially to an appreciative audience.."
Slim Tim, bass/vocals
"If a good R’n’B fry-up with lashings of spiky guitars, peppered with laid back harmonica whets your appetite, then take a cut of Slim Tim and the Quarterpounders. Their new tape is a meaty collection of eight tracks recorded with the assistance of Herbie Flowers at a Brighton studio. The tape kicks off with a cover of ‘Carol’ featuring jangly guitars and a swinging rhythm section. The band then go through a series of blistering 12-bar boogie numbers including ‘Treat Her Right’, ‘Hog For You Baby’ and ‘Every Kind Of Vice’....."

Ay up! Brainstorm certainly rattled the stereo speakers...excellent! Good to see you on here, bin wondering what you were up to. Staying put or coming back??
Cheers, not sure if you'd call it surviving though - more like clinging on by the fingernails! And Ralph, give me 3 good reasons to come home. Oh yeah, my friends, good ale and Satdee afternoons at the footy....
Faster than a curry can be served: 12.7 MB in 8 min. 22 sec. at 25.9 KB per sec. It took less time to download the Anniversary Mix than it did to listen to Brainstorm back in the late 80s. Congratulations on surviving the first twenty - here..s to the next eighty.
Welcome to the Hawkwind Myspace Network, feel free to spread the word and look out for some important announcements regarding Hawkfest, you won't want to miss out on this!
Even when one is not on tour, the rigorous treatment must continue unfortunately. This particular treatment was found at The Belgian Beer Bar(bers), and required several repeat applications over many hours. It's not easy, you know.
All aboard then chaps!
i did'ent relise geoff had such curly hair. i suppose its all the beer on tour that he washes it in that keeps it in such lovely condition. and to think we thought you drank it all!SCORCH.
