SlinCraze is a Sami rapper hailing from the northern parts of Norway and is an up and coming artist in the country. Being one of the first rappers rapping in the language of Sami, SlinCraze has made a huge name for himself in Norway, performing almost everywhere in the country. The highlight of his career was on the 23rd of February 2007, when he performed for the king of Norway, on His 70th birthday party, that's how exclusive the name SlinCraze has become. When his career started he was 14 years old and he performed the song "Givsideapmi"(which translated to English means "harassment") In the Sami Grand Prix, it was the first time people heard Sami rap, and the fact that the song was about a mocking got a lot of people to react with deep emotions, it was the first time someone had the guts to actually speak up about a theme that was usually ignored, making history! Once again he would make history with his career, being the youngest (14 years old) to have ever played in By:larm (Norway’s biggest showcase-arena) On the 18th of February 2008, SlinCraze was on a tour in Troms County with Tumi and DJ Papercut, both from Johannesburg, South Africa. In this tour SlinCraze, Tumi and DJ Papercut played for the most schools in Troms county, the objective of this tour was to talk about mocking and racism, and being a ambassador for MOT(an organisation against, drugs, harassment, alcohol meant for the youth of Norway) SlinCraze talked about how mockery can affect a persons life, encouraging the kids to stop it!!! In the 6th of February 2009, SlinCraze received the Cultural Award from Kautokeino Commune along side Duolva Duottar(A Sami rap group), once again making history by being the youngest(18 years old) ever to receive the award! In a way SlinCraze has revolutionised Sami rap, after him there has been many others, Rolffa, GM, Vi Sjøl, Duolva Duottar just to mention a few, but like any other rapper there were mentors!
